Facebook has come out with a new feature, scheduling posts. This means now you can schedule posts you write and have them go out automatically on Facebook while you are sleeping, out on the town, or taking care of the kids. Woot!
How to Schedule a Post on Facebook
1. Click in the status box and type your message. You can include a link if you like as usual.
2. Click the calendar icon on the bottom left.
If a message pops up about setting a date that your page was created, do that first.
3. Select the year, month, day, and time you want your post to do live.
Optionally, you can click on Promote if you want to pay to promote your post on Facebook.
4. Click Schedule.
Voila! Your post is ready to go live on Facebook on the scheduled date. Facebook will allow you to schedule posts to go live up to six months in advance, in 15-minute intervals.
5. Click to view the Facebook Post Activity Log.
You can change the date/time or Cancel a schedule post from the drop-down menu located at the far right of the post.
Can you imagine the possibilities? Now you can remind Facebook fans about posts you wrote during the week while you are relaxing over the weekend. You can go away on vacation and have posts going out on Facebook that drive traffic back to your site.
